Will I receive adjustment on my first visit?
Your first visit is focused on a thorough history and assessment to identify the cause of your symptoms. You will have time to have your first adjustment on your second visit.
Is chiropractic right for me?
Most people can benefit from chiropractic care. We assess for any conditions that may need extra caution or onward referral. If you’re unsure, we are offering complimentary first consultation to find out if this is right for you.
Is chiropractic safe?
Yes. The risk of serious harm is very low. Soreness up to 24 hours can occur, especially early on.
Is there an age limit for chiropractic treatment?
There is no upper or lower age limit for chiropractic treatment. We have treated patients from just a few days old to those in their nineties.
What training do chiropractors have, and what do they specialise in?
Chiropractors train full-time for five years where we learn medical diagnosis, radiography, radiology and chiropractic skills. We are primary care practitioners specialising in nerve, muscle and joint problems.
Is the chiropractor registered and insured?
Yes. Ka Kin is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and fully insured.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing. We provide medical gowns if needed, and we respect your choice to remain clothed.
What if I am under 16?
You must attend with a legal guardian.
How much does it cost?
Initial consultation & examination: £80

How many sessions will I need?
Average patients need 8–16 sessions. It will depend on your conditions.
What is the cracking sound?
It’s gas being released from the joint — not bones cracking.
What if I miss an appointment?
Please give 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged. Emergencies are considered.
What should I feel after a session?
Most people feel less pain and more relaxed. Some feel tired or sore as the body heals.
Are you registered with health insurers?
We do not work directly with insurers, however, we can issue receipts for your reimbursement.
Can I come in with my family?
Yes, we are a family practice, your family members are most welcome.
